The author is definitely British, so I'm cutting him slack on the grammar. The story is good, but a tad predictable and not very exciting. The characters fall flat, but then I haven't read any of the full length novels built around the detectives. For a short story, I shouldn't have been struggling to reach the end.Product details

Dead Cold eBook Simon Largo Reviews
I do love a short; occasionally with a mixer, or just by itself. When you only have three dozen pages to review, it's difficult to avoid revealing too much of the plot so with 'Dead Cold' I'll simply say it doesn't end as you might expect. All I can reveal is that it is extremely well written and definitely worth reading on the train as you travel to work.
I enjoyed this story immensely. The characters ,the setting and the end came together very well. Well worth the read!
This short story is understandable to readers who are crazy about their cats. There is good character portrayal for the short format. The pace is good. The plot and twist are mild.
